NEW WEEKLY April '96 (Australia Only)
Take 10 - Sue Williams 1 You play your first action hero role in your latest movie, Broken Arrow. How was it? CS: I had a great time. It gave me the opportunity to live out a few childhood fantasies. 2 Did you do any of your own stunts? CS: I did an many as I could. I'm such a huge fan of the director, John Woo, I wanted to impress him. 3 Any scary moments? CS: Jumping out of a helicopter and being dragged under a train..... You had to really psyche yourself up before a lotof the stuff and then just do it. 4 You've done a huge variety of roles, do you have any preferences? CS: No, I like a variety, but I prefer "good" films. 5 What was your first role? CS: My mom put me in a Pampers commercial on TV. 6 Which of the characters you've played is most like you? CS: The guy in "Bed of Roses." I like to think I am a romantic but maybe you should ask the people I've dated. 7 What's your favourite film? CS: "It's a Wonderful Life." It's a very, very sweet, special film. 8 And actor? CS: Spencer Tracy. He's so talented with a very warm presence. 9 You've just directed a film too. CS: Yes, it was a Short Film called "Museum of Love" with Paul Mecurio and Sandra Bernhard; I really had a good time doing it. Paul's a great guy with a great personality. Maybe I'll slip back to Australia to see his show at the Opera House. 10 You have a reputation for being a bit of a wild boy. CS: I've calmed down, certainly, from the days of being 18, but I'm still having a good time.
